My Approach
Compassionate
A big focus for me as a caregiver is to foster an environment where children feel safe expressing their emotions; big and small, happy and sad. Children are given the room to explore their emotions and surroundings while being provided with helpful regulation tactics. Being met with unconditional understanding and empathy is important for young minds as they experience new emotions for the very first time. At an age where behavior is rooted in emotion, modeling good communication and regulation practices will set children up for strong emotional intelligence even in their early years.
Creative
Seasoned at finding creative ways to navigate feelings, tough days, solve problems, and redirection ideas along with fun crafts and projects. Art and sensory activities are a great way for young children to express both their feelings and desire to learn. Engaging in such activities often allows for self expression without judgement, room for little personalities to flourish, and sparks an interest in the way the world works.
